How will Sax’s situation be handled?

I am writing regarding the Nov. 22 article entitled, “Permits lacking for Sax’s project.”
Isn’t Jeff Sax the man who said the reason he ran for office is that he had difficulty getting a permit originally for this specific project because zoning laws in the area in which he lives clearly disallow the project? Did he proceed with this project anyway, assuming it would be grandfathered in after the fact or simply that he would not be caught?
How would a private citizen be treated if he broke the zoning laws? And how will Jeff Sax be treated since he is a Snohomish County councilman? I commend The Herald for publishing the article since it shows our county councilman in a negative light. Please keep us informed as to the progress.
