I’d rather Alaska offer more flights to Oregon than Hawaii

Alaska used to offer flights to Portland, OR, but now for me to fly to Medford, OR to see family I have to fly to LAX and then backward to Medford (“Paine to paradise: Alaska Airlines launches daily Everett-Hawaii flight,” The Herald, June 9). Denver seems to be another destination others have requested to no avail.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the flights I took to Portland, OR and then on to Medford, OR were always full, so I am stymied as to why this was not brought back on the schedule.

But Honolulu? Evidently that is a different animal. We are still a bit lesser, Snohomish County and it doesn’t appear we are on the agenda for much accommodation in the near future.
