I couldn’t find a report in The Herald that the Trump administration was caught fraudulently altering the dates of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) online press releases from as much as a decade ago so that Google would treat them as new releases, promoting the false impression that raids are taking place all over the country. (See Dara Kerr, The Guardian, Feb. 6.)
Surely that is a newsworthy example of the Trump administration’s ongoing campaign of spreading disinformation. Did The Herald just miss the story or is this self-censorship?
