Letter: Tessandore personally, professionaly will make best judge

Every day in my job I take my client before a judge. I stand there next to him/her as they shake and try to be brave. Many of my clients are simply paralyzed with fear due to language barriers. For every client I stand next to there is their family who is equally touched by the justice system. For them I ask you to vote for Rico Tessandore for judge position No. 3.
Rico and I started off as opponents. Now I go to him for legal advice on tough situations because he knows the law better than anyone. But in the grueling job of doorbelling during this election I really get to witness Rico’s ability to be kind and see people.
Kindness matters. Not just in life, but in the administration of justice.
While doorbelling, Rico and I approached one Snohomish County resident who went on to share his unpleasant experience in the courthouse. That man was the most important person in the world to Rico, his eyes fixated on him, listening to every word. Rico walked away taking the man’s words so personal saying, “what can I do to help him?”
Rico will not be easy, don’t mistake his kindness for weakness. But if I have to put my clients’ future before a judge I want to know they (and family) will be treated with respect and dignity. If you or your family have a legal issue in Snohomish County, you would want Rico to be on that bench.
