Past time to end state’s monopoly

We finally have a chance to right a wrong. For far too many decades the state has operated liquor sales as a state-run monopoly. The Legislature has used these liquor stores as a “cash cow.”

I drink vodka responsibly. What costs me $22.45 in Everett costs me $12.15 in Portland. Don’t be fooled by false claims that the state will receive less money … that’s a lie. The same laws and controls will apply. Let’s right this longtime wrong.
