Seed spitting is so disrespectful

Last week my wife and I were walking through Grand Avenue Park in Everett. We usually sit on one of the benches there and rest for a few minutes. That day there was a mess in front of the bench at Mariners Circle. It looked as though some person or persons had sat there not to enjoy the beauty of the park but to use it to turn it into a pig pen by spitting sunflower seeds, completely covering the area directly in front of the bench.
I do not know if there is a law against that or not, but it seems like there should be.
The person or persons doing this were very disrespectful. It was very close to the new bust of Senator Henry M. Jackson. There has been much money spent by many groups to build this park and make it what it is and what it represents. Truly one could say it was desecrated. How could anyone stoop so low? Where is America The Beautiful headed?
