Temple Beth Or stands with Arlington Pride, LGBTQ+ community

Temple Beth Or, the Reform Jewish congregation of Snohomish County, is speaking out in support of Arlington Pride.

Genesis 1:27 is from a part of the Bible which is shared by Jews and Christians. This verse teaches us that each human being has been made in the image of the Divine. This applies equally to people in the mainstream, and also to those who see life through a different lens.

Arlington Pride’s website speaks of promoting a “safe, fun, connected community for LGBTQ+ people.” One of their goals is raising community awareness. So they will be hosting a Pride Event in their city on Saturday, July 22, featuring booths and vendors.

Community members who have objections to this event, have the right to keep themselves and their families away. But they might miss out on a fun, family-friendly event!

We are proud to stand in support of the Arlington Pride Event.
