Thanks to all AARP volunteeers

Our computers are turned off, our boxes packed, and our free time is now that again — free! At this time I would like to thank all our AARP volunteers who worked at the AARP Tax-Aide sites in Snohomish County.

I am the local coordinator for the AARP site at Everett Community College, and am very proud to once again have our sites do such a wonderful job providing tax assistance in our county. All of our sites have shown an increase in numbers, which shows how important these volunteer sites are.

But, the sad thing about our great success is that we are losing our wonderful district coordinator. He has decided to retire, yet again! He is our leader for this service we provide, and without a new coordinator our services throughout the county will not be able to continue. So while I say thank you to all those serving this program, and have enjoyed my three years as the local coordinator for our site, I am putting out a plea for one or two people who are retired to take on this position for us.

If interested, please contact Marian Younghans at younghans@telcomplus.net, or www.aarp.com to get further information. And hopefully, we will be open for business for the next tax season. Once again, thank you to all the volunteers for a great job done.
