Thanks to Nehring, Mead for Building Bridges effort

I want to give a huge thank you to Snohomish County Council members Jared Mead and Nate Nehring for leading the way toward civil discourse in politics and in life with their Building Bridges effort (“At Everett event, Mead, Nehring look to bridge partisan gap,” The Herald, Dec. 1).

It is so encouraging to see this new generation of politicians wanting to listen to one another, understand each other’s viewpoints, try to find common ground and be willing to compromise when necessary to make our’s a better community. Hopefully this movement can spread upward throughout our country and start all of us on a path toward a kinder nation.
