Thanks to PUD for free energy audit

I would like to offer special thanks to the Snohomish County PUD Community Power! program for the opportunity of free energy audits, plus perks. I’d also like to thank their contractor, Advanced Energy Management, for performing the first three residential audits, mine included, for city of Sultan residents, and now including the greater Sky Valley community.

The audit process was fascinating as well as educational. It included identifying and modifying electrical load usage in addition to identifying opportunities for increasing insulation and sealing air leaks that should result in increased energy efficiencies being achieved at all three homes, ranging in build dates from the 1920s, 1960s and 2000s. Each home had varying degrees of increased conservation opportunities based on an audit report generated for and personalized to each residence.

To assist with achieving energy conservation goals and thus reduced energy costs overall, additional program incentives are offered to achieve the desired results and many options are mentioned that can be done at low cost by the homeowner. This is a win/win/win for homeowners (reduced energy bills), PUD (resource reduction) and our environment (less pollutants emitted)! Thanks again for offering this great program at no cost to our community.
