Time for a major change

Here’s an idea: Scrap the Electoral College in favor of the popular vote and have all of the eligible voters use a mail-in ballot which had to be postmarked before midnight the day of the election to be valid. Then, wait until after midnight the following day to count the votes. This should put a stop to the exit polling which influences other voting to the West.

All votes would be in the mail before the first ballots are to be counted. TV networks would be telecasting the results only. What do you think?
