Tuohy’s shown leadership at Schack Art Center

I’ve lived in Everett for 60 years. In that time I’ve benefited from homegrown institutions like Everett High, the University of Washington and, of course now, the Schack Art Center.

At the Schack, I was fortunate to meet and learn from Judy Tuohy, the executive director who got the Schack running and still leads it today. Judy built an institution that will continue improving Everett for decades to come.

I know what it take to start up and run local organizations, and it is no easy task. It takes creativity, organization and careful management to create a stable and enriching organization. Judy has done this. In fact she continues to do this and not just at the Schack, but also for the City of Everett in her work as a city councilmember. That is why she is my choice to lead Everett as its mayor.
