It seems there needs to be a rational discussion and possibly a policy ammendment regarding the closing of the I-5 freeway during law enforcement investigations.
What was gained by the closure on May 16? Did anyone benefit? Could the closure have been shortened and the balance of the investigation carried out later? To the general public (the taxpayers) the benefit of minimizing the closure would have far, far outweighed the negatives.
