Where’s the lottery money for schools?

Published 9:00 pm Monday, October 24, 2005

Does anyone remember when we voted for the lottery? If I remember, the money was for schools and education. Where is all this money going?

No new schools, only more taxes and bonds, which are loans that have to be paid back at high interest rates.

Very few have won the lottery and have to pay taxes on the winnings.

This is an every-day collection when the lottery tickets are bought. Who is in charge of this? They should be made to account for the money collected, and taxes paid from the winners.
