I finally get it. The GOP was hijacked by a populist jerk and now its congressional members are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.
How else could one explain the legislative branch’s total failure to hold Trump accountable for all his corrupt behavior? It seems the “Compassionate Conservatives” have only so far shown compassion for the wealthy, the unborn, gun owners, white supremacists and several of our international rivals. The rest of us are on our own.
