Given the brief nature of Seattle’s injury report, there wasn’t a lot of news out of Pete Carroll’s Friday presser.
Right tackle Justin Britt is questionable because of a sore knee—Carroll said it crept up on Monday and Tuesday after the rookie made it through the game OK. If Britt can’t go, look for Alvin Bailey to play in his place.
“He was limited today,” Carroll said. “We’re going to find out on game-day. Alvin Bailey took a bunch of snaps there.”
Also questionable is Jeron Johnson, who dislocated his elbow in Week 17 against St. Louis and missed Seattle’s playoff game against Carolina.
“He made it through practice all week again, and we’ll keep going all the way to game time,” Carroll said. “We have enough flexibility in the area he’s playing that we can wait and see how he does on Sunday.”
With rookie Paul Richardson on injured reserve, the Seahawks need a new kick returner this week. Asked if they’d settled on a returner, Carroll simply said. “Yes.” and asked if he cared to share the answer with the media, he said, “No. you’ll find out on game day.”
