A few quick notes from Pete Carroll’s Wednesday press conference

Receiver Sidney Rice, who has missed the first two games with a shoulder injury, will practice without limitations this week, a sign that he could be ready to play Sunday if he gets through the week OK.
“He’s going,” Carroll said. “He’s doing everything, and we’ll see how it works out and how he takes the practice today. He’ll get banged around a little bit, so we’ll find out how he responds. He looks like he’s ready to go, his mentality is, he’s ready to go. He’s not even thinking about anything other than that, but we’ll have to make a good decision on that when that time comes. We’re day-to-day on this deal with him.”
Of the other players who missed last week’s game, it sounds like backup LB Malcolm Smith (hamstring) will be ready barring a setback this week. “He’s going to go full-go today,” Carroll said.
Fullback Michael Robinson, who has an ankle injury, won’t practice today, but is doing some running and could be back to practice later in the week. Cornerback Byron Maxwell (ankle) won’t be back this week.
