AquaSox bullpen struggles in loss to Hops

EVERETT — The Everett bullpen allowed five runs in the final four innings and the AquaSox fell to the Hillsboro Hops 6-2 on Wednesday evening at Funko Field.

Starter Levi Stoudt turned in a quality performance for Everett, striking out 10 and allowing only one run on five hits in five innings.

But Tyler Driver and Kyle Hill each allowed two runs in a single inning pitched and Fred Villarreal also allowed a run in one inning for the AquaSox.

David Sheaffer went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in, and Joseph Rosa added two hits, including a triple, for Everett (16-10).

Eduardo Diaz and Leodany Perez each had three hits for Hillsboro (11-15).
