Gifford scores twice in Knights’ win

SHORELINE – Laura Gifford scored the first of her two goals in the first minute of play to help King’s get a 6-0 victory over Coupeville Wednesday in a Cascade Conference girls soccer contest at King’s High School.

Laura Peterson, Paige Johnson, Rebecca Lampe, and Carolyn Dapper also found the net for the Knights, who improved to 9-3 in league and 10-3 overall.

Coupeville fell to 0-12, 0-14.

Goalkeeper Madeline McDevitt recorded the shutout for King’s.
