HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Everett AquaSox’s offense was held scoreless for the first time this season in a 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Canadians on Friday night.
Jack Larsen and Patrick Frick each doubled, and Zach DeLoach and Cody Grosse each had a base hit as Everett dropped its second straight.
Stephen Kolek allowed only one run on one hit in 4.1 innings of relief, and Fred Villarreal tossed 2.2 innings of perfect relief for Everett (14-8).
Ryan Gold homered and drove in a run for the Canadians (14-8).
The AquaSox were without star outfielder Julio Rodriguez, who flew to Florida to play for the Dominican Republic national team in an Olympic qualifier.
