The American Speed Association Northwest Late Model Tour announced Monday that it would use Goodyear tires for the 2009 season.
This marks a return to the past for the new series, which incorporates the former Northwest Tour and Late Model Challenge Series. Both series used Goodyear tires in the past but were forced to change manufacturers when Goodyear encountered supply problems.
After an assurance from Goodyear that it has solved the supply problems and has a new process that gives better sizing, it was decided by ASANWLMT officials to use the popular short track tire. The 2602 tire has been renumbered to 2902.
