Ottow gets Snohomish rolling to win over O.H.

OAK HARBOR — Things didn’t start out well for the Snohomish wrestling team Tuesday night, but they sure picked up quickly.

The Panthers lost the opening match of the night, then rolled to four straight falls en route to a 52-17 wrestling defeat of Oak Harbor.

Sam Ottow got the rally started with a fall at 130 pounds, before Luke Perry, Brady Perry and Stefan St. Marie followed with falls in the ensuing weights.

“We knew, after 125, we’d have a chance to pick up a few falls from there. And we sure did,” Snohomish head coach Kevin Judkins said. “We’re pretty solid through those weights.”

Those middle weights were especially impressive on this night because, from 125 to 160, the Panthers were bumped up a weight due to an injury to 171-pounder Sean Coffman.
