EVERETT — Sultan and Lakewood split a doubleheader on Saturday. In game one, Shawn Smith went 2-for-3 with two runs to lead the Turks to a 5-2 win. The Cougars prevailed in game two behind Bradley Keen’s three-run homer in the bottom of the 8th that propelled Lakewood to a 9-8 victory in eight innings. Jay Leverett finished the second game just a single shy of the cycle, batting 3-for-3 with a double, triple and home run in the loss.
