COUPEVILLE — King’s quarterback Billy Green threw five touchdown passes with brothers Caleb and Christian Taylor each catching two to lead King’s to a Cascade Conference win over Coupeville.
One area that ended up costing Coupeville mightily was in the penalty department. The Wolves piled up 150 yards in penalties including seven personal foul penalties. Those fouls nullified any advantage the team received from three Knights turnovers.
“We need to work on playing hard the whole game, not just the second half when it’s too late,” Coupeville head coach Jay Silver said. “And we need to be more disciplined.”
Green completed 19 of 25 passes for 229 yards. Christian Taylor, a 6-foot-4 senior tight end, caught nine passes for 69 yards.
