Prep hot tickets: State swim meet Saturday in Federal Way

With the prep sports postseason in full swing, here are a five non-football events to keep an eye on this week:

Volleyball: 4A Northwest/Sea-King Bi-District Tournament semifinals, Tuesday at Bothell H.S. Lake Stevens (14-1) faces Issaquah (16-2) at 5 p.m. and Monroe (11-4) plays North Creek (17-1) at 7 p.m., with the winners clinching state berths and advancing to Saturday’s bi-district title match. The losers of Tuesday’s semifinals will play winner-to-state matches Saturday.

Girls soccer: 3A state first round, Holy Names Academy at Snohomish, 7 p.m. Wednesday. Northwest District champion Snohomish (14-4-1) faces Holy Names (13-6-1) in a state opener at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The winner will host either Seattle Prep (18-1) or Stadium (14-3-1) in a state quarterfinal later this week.

Volleyball: 3A Northwest District semifinals, 7 p.m. Thursday at Marysville Pilchuck H.S. A pair of winner-to-state matches will take place simultaneously, with the winners advancing to Saturday’s district title match. The losers of Thursday’s semifinals will play winner-to-state, loser-out matches Saturday.

Volleyball: 1A state tournament, Friday and Saturday at Yakima Valley SunDome (Yakima). Defending champion King’s aims for its second consecutive state title. The Knights (17-1) face Lakeside-Nine Mile Falls (14-3) in the first round at 5:15 p.m. Friday, with the winner advancing to an 8:15 p.m. quarterfinal match. The semifinal and championship matches are Saturday.

Girls swim and dive: State finals, Saturday at King County Aquatic Center (Federal Way). Local swimmers and divers compete for state titles and podium finishes. The Class 2A finals begin at 9:15 a.m., followed by the 3A finals at 2:10 p.m. and the 4A finals at 7 p.m.
