MUKILTEO — Paige Gessey had 10 kills, 16 digs and two aces, and Hannah Johnson added seven killds and five blocks as Lynnwood opened its season with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-18 sweep.

Sammy Holmer had six kills and 10 digs, Charlie Thomas added 26 assists and three aces, and Makena Kaleo chipped in four kills for Lynnwood (1-0).

Cadency Bigby had seven kills, Ella Kunz had five kills, Hannah Drought added 14 digs and Skyla Major chipped in 12 assists for Kamiak (1-1).

EVERETT — Sally Sylla had seven kills, three aces and one block as Cascade picked up its first win of the season by scores of 25-23, 25-18 and 25-23,

Kiana Volkmann had nine digs and Suleyka Uriostegui added 16 assists and one kill for Cascade (1-1)

Eilani Rocha-Bernal had 16 digs and Sophia Polley-Ferguson added five kills, five aces and one block for Mariner (0-2).
