EUGENE — Ben Ramirez hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the eighth inning and the Everett AquaSox held on for a 3-2 win over the Eugene Emeralds on Wednesday night at PK Park.

Walking Cabrera hit a two-run double in the top of the first inning to give the AquaSox an early 2-0 advantage.

That score held until the bottom of the sixth when Jared Dupere hit a two-run blast to pull the Emeralds even at 2-2.

In his first start for Everett (19-21), Nick Davila turned in five strong innings on the mound. The 24-year-old right-hander struck out eight and allowed no runs on five hits in five innings. Jarod Bayless wiggled out of a jam in the ninth inning for his first save of the season.

Logan Wyatt went 3-for-4, and Damon Dues and Jimmy Glowenke added doubles for Eugene (22-18).
