Seahawks vs. Cardinals injury report: Cards’ Mathieu to IR

Here’s the official injury report for Saturday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals at CenturyLink Field:

SEATTLE

Out: RB C.J. Prosise (shoulder).

Doubtful: none.

Questionable: none.

Notes: It’s an incredibly short injury report for the Seahawks, particularly this early in the season. Defensive end Michael Bennett, who left last Thursday’s 24-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams because of a neck injury, is fine and will play. So will punter Jon Ryan, who suffered a concussion against the Rams but was apparently cleared following Thursday’s practice. Linebacker Brock Coyle is set to return after missing four games because of a foot injury. Prosise remains out with a broken scapula.

ARIZONA

Out: CB Marcus Cooper (back/calf), T D.J. Humphries (concussion).

Doubtful: none.

Questionable: CB Brandon Williams (back), WR John Brown (illness).

Notes: The biggest piece of news for the Cardinals this week is that safety Tyrann Mathieu was placed on injured reserve Friday because of a shoulder injury. He joins linebacker Deone Bucannon (ankle) as key defensive players on IR. Arizona has been decimated by injuries on the offensive line, and Humphries is the latest victim as he misses his second straight game. Cooper, a starter, being out and Williams, Cooper’s back-up, being questionable will test the Cardinals’ depth in the secondary.
