KENNEWICK — Other than an 0-for-3 performance on the penalty kill Friday, the Everett Silvertips turned in a clinical performance in a 3-0 shutout of the Tri-City Americans at the Toyota Center.
After a scoreless first period, Reece Vitelli got the Tips on the board with his 11th goal of the season off an assist from Dawson Butt.
Later in the second, Wyatte Wylie struck off assists from Sahvan Khaira and Martin Fasko-Rudas.
Connor Dewar added his 35th tally of the season into an empty net to finish off the shutout.
Goaltender Dustin Wolf stopped all 25 shots he faced from the Ams, and Max Palaga made one save in two minutes of action at the end of the game.
Everett out-shot Tri-City 36-26, and the Americans did not have a power-play opportunity.
