EVERETT — Alex Swetlikoff scored the Silvertips’ first three goals and Everett clinched the U.S. Division title with its 5-2 victory over the Tri-City Americans on Friday at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Swetikoff’s third goal put the Silvertips (45-10-5-5, 100 points) up for good at 3-2 with 2:38 left in the second period.
Michal Gut added an insurance goal at the 19:57 mark of the second and Jackson Berezowski scored an empty-netter in the closing seconds.
Berezowski and Olen Zellweger each had two assists.
Goaltender Braden Holt stopped 11 of 13 shots to earn the win for Everett.
Deagan McMillan and Chase Friedt-Mohr scored for the Americans (18-42-5-0).
Tomas Suchanek had 41 saves in 45 tries.
