Sizzling Kindopp leads Silvertips past Spokane, 4-3

SPOKANE — Bryce Kindopp is on a roll.

The Everett forward scored a pair of goals for the second time is as many nights to lift the Silvertips to a 4-3 win over Spokane in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Kindopp scored twice in Everett’s 3-2 win over Kamloops on Saturday. For the season, he has 12 points (seven goals and five assists) in five games.

Kindopp scored his first goal Sunday at the 5:15 mark of the first period to give Everett a 1-0 lead.

Spokane tied the game three minutes later on a power-play goal by Bear Hughes.

Everett’s Jacob Wright scored his first goal of the season in the second period, but a pair of goals by Spokane gave the Chiefs a 3-2 lead heading into the second intermission.

Everett tied the game 1:39 into the final period on Brendan Lee’s first goal of the season.

Kindopp then delivered the game winning at 3:53.

Everett goalteander Keegan Karki picked up his first victory of the season. He stopped 27 of the 30 shots he faced.
