Here are the prep stars of the night for Tuesday, May 7:

Kenji Miller, Shorewood baseball

Miller, a junior, shutdown the high-powered Arlington offense, tossing a complete game while allowing six hits, one run and two walks to go along with seven strikeouts, as the Thunderbirds took down the unbeaten Eagles, 3-1. Shorewood clinched a Class 3A state berth with the win.

Ethan Borland, Meadowdale boys soccer

Borland, a freshman, sent home the game-winner in the sixth round of penalty kicks to send the Mavericks to the state tournament for the first time since 2005 with a 2-1 victory over Edmonds-Woodway.

Alvin Kwak, Devin Kim, Daniel Kim, Josh Clogston and Alex Kim, Kamiak boys golf

The five Knights golfers earned the five best scores at the Wesco 4A league championship match at Walter Hall Golf Course, helping Kamiak to a dominant team victory. Kwak, a senior, earned medalist honors with a 5-under 67.

Grace Metcalf, Arlington girls golf

Metcalf, a freshman, fired a 7-over par 75 to earn medalist honors at the Wesco 3A North Division Championship at Legion Memorial Golf Course. Metcalf helped the Eagles to a team title in the process.

Kevin Giessler, Jackson boys soccer

Giessler, a senior, scored two goals and added an assist in the Timberwolves’ 4-0 win over Eastlake. The victory sends Jackson to the state tournament for the first time since 2011.

Katelyn Pryor, Cascade softball

Pryor, a freshman, hit a walk-off three-run home run as the Bruins picked up a 4-3 victory over Kamiak in their season finale.
