Tokul Creek opens

Published 3:55 pm Wednesday, December 16, 2015

Tokul Creek opened Dec. 17 through Feb. 15, for all game fish, including steelhead, from the Fish Hatchery Road bridge upstream to the posted boundary marker below the hatchery intake. Normally closed for winter steelhead broodstock collection until Jan. 14, hatchery staff have met their egg take goals early and state biologists have decided fishing opportunities can be expanded. Tokul Creek remains open from the mouth to the downstream edge of the Fish Hatchery Road bridge as listed in the rules pamphlet. The creek is closed daily from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and anti-snagging rules are in effect.
