They’ve got spirit. How about you?
Hundreds of pumped-up Glacier Peak High School students performed a synchronized dance to the Black Eyed Peas song “I Gotta Feeling” before the start of the Class 3A District 1 boys basketball championship game on Wednesday in Snohomish (see video below).
Glacier Peak went on to beat Meadowdale 55-50.
After the final seconds ticked off, Glacier Peak students rushed the court and surrounded the victorious Grizzlies players, who earned the program’s first district title and first state tournament berth. Pretty amazing for a second-year school that has its first class of seniors.
Glacier Peak will play at the 3A state championships, which begin March 10 at the Tacoma Dome. Maybe GP students will rock the Tacoma Dome with another performance of their dance.
Can any other school’s match the GP students’ enthusiasm?
