The Athlete of the Week nominees for Sept. 19-25. Voting closes at midnight Sunday. The winner will be announced with next week’s poll and in Tuesday, Oct. 4’s paper.

Grace Andrews | Snohomish | Girls Swim & Dive
Andrews, a junior, won the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 26.34 seconds) and 100 butterfly (1:05.11) in the Panthers’ 95-75 win over Everett on Sept. 13. She also helped Snohomish’s 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams secure victories. She won the voting for the week of Sept. 12-18 by claiming 634 (35.1%) of 1,804 votes.

Russell Anderson | Edmonds-Woodway | Boys Tennis
Anderson, a senior, went 3-0 in his No. 1 singles matches while helping the Warriors earn a trio of victories during the week. Anderson dropped just nine games along the way, earning 6-0, 6-2; 6-3, 6-1; and 6-1, 6-2 wins.
Selena Bangerter | Jackson | Girls Cross Country
Bangerter, a sophomore, won the Division I Varsity portion of the Nike Portland Cross Country Invitational at Blue Lake Regional Park on Sept. 24. She finished the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes, 29.8 seconds and beat her nearest competitor by 16.6 seconds.
Anna Dantas | Marysville Pilchuck | Volleyball
Dantas, a junior, posted 17 digs, 12 assists and eight kills as the Tomahawks defeated rival Marysville Getchell in a tight five-set contest on Sept. 21. The victory helped MP improve to 3-1, which is its best start since 2014.
Carter Middleton | Mountlake Terrace | Boys Cross Country
Middleton, a senior, took first place during a four-team Wesco meet with Jackson, Marysville Pilchuck and Marysville Getchell at Mountlake Terrace High School on Sept. 20. He finished the 4,000-meter race in 13 minutes, 51.8 seconds and held a 34.4-second advantage over his nearest competitor.
Mason Orgill | Snohomish | Football
Orgill, a senior, need just 10 carries to produce 146 yards and five touchdowns in the Panthers’ 43-27 win over Edmonds-Woodway on Sept. 23. He scored on runs of 3, 38, 1, 8 and 1 yards.
Lorelei Pringle | Marysville Getchell | Girls Swim & Dive
Pringle, a senior, swam winning times in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke in Chargers’ three-team meet with Mariner and Marysville Pilchuck on Sept. 22. She finished the 50 freestyle in 29.36 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.80. She also helped MG’s 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams to victories. Pringle added a win in the 100 backstroke (1:14.27) in a three-team meet with MP and Snohomish on Sept. 20.
Ryann Reynolds | Glacier Peak | Girls Soccer
Reynolds, a senior, tallied a hat trick to lift Glacier Peak to a 4-1 victory in its Wesco 4A opener against Lake Stevens on Sept. 22.
