RENTON — Fullback Leonard Weaver and middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu missed a third straight day of practice on Friday, and coach Mike Holmgren said they will be “game-day” decisions.
Weaver hurt his foot early in last Sunday’s win over San Francisco, but he stayed in the game and scored on two long pass plays. He has not practiced yet this week, although he did some running drills with trainers on Friday.
Holmgren said that, even if Weaver plays, rookie Owen Schmitt will see extended action.
Tatupu watched Friday’s practice from the sideline as he continues to nurse a strained groin. Holmgren said that he was optimistic Tatupu will play.
Earlier in the day, Holmgren said that defensive end Patrick Kerney will not be at the game because he’s scheduled to go to Alabama to get his injured shoulder looked at.
