Carter Family Marionettes present “Babar &Father Christmas,” a holiday tale featuring the world’s favorite elephant, at the Northwest Puppet Center through Dec. 22.
King Babar’s children hear a story from the land of man about a jolly old elf who brings toys to all good children and boys. They want Father Christmas to come visit them in Elephantland. Babar sets off on a journey to find Father Christmas and invite him to come visit. Along the way, Babar meets his dear friend the Old Lady, some French mice, a dog named Duck, and many others who help King Babar find the land of Father Christmas.
A cast of over 20 handmade marionettes tell the story with the help of the Carter Family Marionettes.
Tickets are $7.50 for children, $8 for seniors, and $9.50 for adults, available at the door, 25 minutes before each show, over the phone or fax with a credit card or through the mail. The Northwest Puppet Center is located at 9123 15th Ave. NE., in North Seattle.
