Mavs move on to semis

Eric Marty recorded his fifth straight shutout to lead the Meadowdale boys soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Sehome in a Northwest District 3A playoff game Tuesday night at Edmonds Stadium.

Aaron Roberts scored a pair of goals for the Mavericks, who advanced to the semifinals.

Meadowdale beats Scots

Jared Dyson was 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI to lead the Meadowdale baseball team to a 6-2 victory over Wesco South Division rival Shorecrest in a loser-out Northwest District 3A game Wednesday.

The win sends the Mavericks into a winner-to-state, loser-out game against Sehome tomorrow (Saturday, May 15).

Roma signs with WWU

Edmonds-Woodway’s Tiana Roma has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Western Washington University. Roma, the Class 4A high jump champion at last year’s state track meet, was selected to play in the East-West All-Star series.
