A Brier man died early Friday, Oct. 27 after he crashed into a curb and was tossed from his motorcycle.

The crash happened just after midnight on the Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek between 161st Street Southeast and Mill Creek Boulevard. The man, 41, reportedly was northbound on the highway when he lost control of his 2007 Harley-Davidson and veered off the road.

The motorcycle struck a curb, then hit a cement planter box in the center of the road and flipped, said Mill Creek police spokeswoman Robin Swanson.

Another motorcyclist witnessed the accident and summoned help.

The Brier man died at the scene.

There was no indication that the man was speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident, Swanson said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The Oct. 27 fatality was the second one this year involving a motorcyclist. The first incident happened in May, Swanson said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Mill Creek police at 425-334-1115.
