Police arrest at least nine in pot raids

An investigation involving federal and local drug agents resulted in at least nine arrests March 20 in Snohomish and King counties, officials said.
Officers found 475 plants and 46 pounds of processed marijuana, Snohomish County Regional Drug Task Force Cmdr. Pat Slack said.
They also seized $78,000 in cash, seven vehicles and two firearms.
Agents served 10 search warrants by late afternoon.
Five of the homes were in the Lynnwood area. Residences in Edmonds, Bothell, Shoreline and Renton also were searched.
Probe continues in Lake Stickney death
The death of a man found floating in Lake Stickney Feb. 29 remains under investigation.
Police believe Seth B. Brandley, 28, was on the run from authorities in Spokane when he led Snohomish County cops on a pursuit that ended near the lake Feb. 26.
He reportedly ran from the car, and his body was found a few days later.
His death remains under active investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, awaiting the medical examiner’s findings, bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said March 19.
Edmonds police arrest suspected burglar
Edmonds police said they caught a suspected burglar March 24 as he searched some bushes where a shotgun and other stolen property had been stashed near a recent home break-in.
Officers had responded to a call from a house on the 7500 block of 212th Street SW at 9:14 a.m. to find the rear door pried open, but no burglar in sight, Edmonds police Sgt. Mike Blackburn said.
Police kept watch in the area until a man showed up about an hour later, frantically rummaging through the bushes where the 12-gauge shotgun and other property had been, Blackburn said. The 50-year-old from Lake Stevens was jailed for investigation of residential burglary and narcotics possession.
Lynnwood/Brier
March 24: Assault. 22800 block 29th Ave W. A Brier man reported he was struck in the face by an unknown subject in his garage. He suspects a man who has been harassing him.
March 23: Theft. 5900 block 166th Pl. SW. A trumpet, trumpet valve, flugelhorn, mutes and cases were stolen from a vehicle.
March 22: Sex Offense. 22700 block Hickory Way. A Brier woman reported someone sent a picture of genitalia to her teenage son’s email account.
Edmonds
March 23: Suspicious Circumstances. 400 block Walnut St. A man frightened and intimidated employees and customers of a local business by peering in the windows.
March 23: Burglary. 100 block Second Ave. S. A personnel file of an employee about to be terminated was stolen.
March 19: Assault. 1100 Fifth Ave S. Two individuals got into a physical altercation causing damage to several pieces of furniture and causing visible injuries to each other.
Mountlake Terrace
March 26: Suspicious circumstances. 23100 block 53rd Ave. W. A homeowner heard someone approach his door, bang on it loudly and run away.
March 25: Theft from car. 22400 block 60th Ave. W. A woman said both her vehicles were broken into. However police found no signs of forced entry. An iPod, new clothing and soccer gear were some of the items stolen.
Fire District 1
March 21: Collision. 3700 block 204th St. SW. A pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle east of Lynnwood. He was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center.
March 19: Collision. Northbound I-5 south of 128th St. SW. Two collisions occurred within a short stretch of I-5. The first collision involved two cars and firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. The second collision involved three cars. Firefighters treated the occupants at the scene.
March 18: Collision. Edmonds Way and 100th Avenue W. Firefighters responded to two collisions on icy roads in Edmonds. Firefighters responding to a collision on SR 104 north of Pine Street came across a collision at 100th Avenue W and Edmonds Way. No one was injured at the latter. Two cars were heavily damaged in the collision north of Pine Street. Firefighters transported two patients to Harborview Medical Center and one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
March 15: Collision. 204th Street SW and Cypress Way. A car crashed into trees east of Lynnwood. Firefighters freed the occupants from the wreckage and transported two patients with serious injuries to Harborview Medical Center.
