Gotta Move

Washington has to move the ball and score again. Arizona is passing the ball well and the Huskies can’t afford to just sit back and let it happen. It’s not enough to just keep the clocking moving and then punting, they need to put together drives and get points.

The Arizona touchdown was the first surrendered by the Husky defense in about five quarters, and they are putting some real shots on Willie Tuitama. That apparently has been an issue all season for the Wildcats. Tuitama has had a concussion and a bruised calf, and I can see why, as Washington’s defense is overwhelming the young Wildcats line.

Also, Washington long-snapper Danny Morovick is really having a tough time. In fact, he hasn’t been that great all season. His snaps get back to Douglas quick but they are rarely right in his chest. Tyrone Willingham and special teams coach Bob Simmons got on him earlier in the game. Not good for a guy they gave a scholarship to to perform one specific task.
