STANWOOD — Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a 19-year-old Everett man who was found earlier this morning in a Stanwood-area home.

A young woman called 911 just before 5 a.m. reporting that when she woke up she discovered that her boyfriend was not breathing, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

Deputies arrived to find the teen dead. There were obvious signs of trauma to his body, Hover said.

In addition to the dead man’s girlfriend, who is in her late teens, there were family members in the house when the man’s death was discovered.

Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation and this morning were in the process of securing a warrant to search the house, located in the 19300 block of 96th Avenue NW in the Warm Beach area.

“There is no indication, although we’re in the very early stages, that neighbors should be alarmed,” Hover said.

No additional details were available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
