Oh, by the way, Becanic dropped his first hint about how Everett’s style may change under his tutelage. Check out this quote:

“The biggest thing I’m trying to get our guys to understand, and one of the points of emphasis for our team this year, is I want us to play faster. I think we need to practice faster and play faster.”

Toward that end, a new policy was inacted for the rookie camp practice sessions. When the whistle is blown, ending the drill and indicating time to gather at the white board for further instruction, the players race to the spot and the last one to arrive has to skate a lap. I suspect that policy will continue once the vets arrive.
