Local Briefly: School science project burns Marysville boy

MARYSVILLE — A science experiment gone wrong left a student with burns to his left hand on Thursday at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, officials said.
The boy was involved in lighting a fire for an experiment when a flame burned him.
The senior visited the school nurse’s office and then a family doctor before being referred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was treated and released Thursday.
The boy’s mother said she expects he will be back in class Monday.
Lynnwood: Robbery suspect on the loose
Police are seeking the public’s help to catch a bank robber.
The robbery happened about 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Bank of America in the 17300 block of Highway 99. The suspect passed a note to a teller demanding money.
He scurried out of the bank. No weapon was seen and no one was hurt, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
The robber is described as a large-framed white man in his late 20s or early 30s. He has a light-colored goatee. He wore hooded sweatshirt and a white bandana on his head.
