Arlington: Planning meeting canceled
The Arlington Planning Commission meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. today has been canceled.
The commission is scheduled to meet next at 7 p.m. on Nov. 20, in City Council Chambers, 110 E. Third St.

Marysville: Planning board has opening
The city of Marysville is seeking applicants for an opening on the planning commission.
The planning commission advises the City Council on land-use and planning decisions. Planning commissioner Dave Voigt announced recently that he is stepping down. Voigt’s current term expires in August 2011.
Anyone interested may send a brief letter of interest to assistant administrative services director Tracy Jeffries at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave., Marysville, WA 98270. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Nov. 16.

Stanwood: Give your brain a $3 workout at class
An eight-week course designed to sharpen and exercise participants’ minds is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Stanwood Community and Senior Center, 7430 276th St. NW.
The one-hour brain calisthenics class uses hand-held Nintendo DS machines and written materials.
Classes cost $3 each for center members and $5 for nonmembers.
