Camano Island: Chili cookoff Saturday
The Camano Island Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its 12th annual Chili &Chowder Cookoff for 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Senior and Community Center, 606 Arrowhead Road.
A $10 ticket buys 10 tastes of chili and a vote for this year’s winner. Admission is free.
The local band One Ton of Ducks is scheduled to perform.

Marysville: Turkey Chase Fun Run set
The city of Marysville has scheduled its 18th annual Turkey Chase Fun Run for Nov. 17.
The event, for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Jennings Memorial Park ball field, 6915 Armar Road.
The non-competitive event gives children a chance to celebrate fitness and win prirzes. All who participate will receive a special Turkey Chase T-shirt.
Advance registration is required by Thursday.

Stanwood: Teen library board meets
The Stanwood Library’s teen advisory board is scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Teens are invited to attend and share their thoughts on improving library service.
Snacks will be provided.
