Arlington: Hometown Holidays celebration coming
Arlington’s annual Hometown Holidays celebration is scheduled for Dec. 1 in downtown Arlington.
The event features a parade with Santa at noon followed by a tree lighting ceremony at City Hall.
Children are invited to have their pictures taken with Santa from 2 to 4 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. Participants should bring their own cameras.
Covered wagon rides through downtown Arlington are scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m.

Marysville: Seniors can get on video
Marysville’s Ken Baxter Senior-Community Center and White Owl Arts Videography are offering free keepsake video portraits to seniors by appointment from Dec. 11 through 18.
Seniors can share favorite stories, communicate with faraway family and friends, or even to talk future generations.
Video portraits will be custom-edited and presented to participants on DVD in time for the holidays. Sittings are 20 minutes in duration.
