– New defenseman Tyler Kieffer is slated to make his WHL debut tomorrow against Chilliwack. Look for a story on how he ended up in Everett in tomorrow’s paper, with a bit of an assist from David Reekie.
– Two of Everett’s 15-year-old prospects, forward D.Jay McGrath and defenseman Kyle Janzen, are headed home tomorrow. McGrath gave himself a bit of a parting gift today by winning the shootout drill at practice.
– Speaking of 15-year-olds, forward Eric English gave me a bit of a hard time, saying that even the 15-year-olds are getting more ink than him. So I decided I’d share an English anecdote:
English discussing his skating speed with the coaches: “Hey, I’m skating at the speed of sound out there. It’s just that everyone else is skating at the speed of light.”
