Parent class offers an open house

Everett Community College and Little Red School House offer a new parent and toddler class for children ages 18 months to 3 years old. The class is 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at The Children’s Village, 14 E. Casino Road in Everett. Parents attend classes with their children. The cost is $35 per month.

Soroptimist raises money with book

“Marysville Cooks with Soroptimist” is a collection of recipes from members of the Soroptimist International of Marysville and their families and friends. Proceeds from the book go to charitable projects.

Disaster classes in Monroe

The city of Monroe offers Community Emergency Response Team classes beginning Thursday at the Monroe Fire Station, 163 Village Court. Classes include seven evening sessions and one four-hour exercise on Feb. 23.

A $40 fee covers the course and equipment.

Additional classes may also be scheduled for neighborhood groups, civic groups or businesses.
