Sun’s on its way to dry things out

Drivers should watch for black ice on roads this morning, say state Department of Transportation officials.

The weather forecast called for cooling temperatures overnight that could lead to snow this morning.

But forecasters also predicted sunshine later today and through this week.

“I think people are ready for an extended stretch of sunny, drier weather,” said Jim Prang, a National Weather Service meteorologist. “That’s what we’re forecasting.”

The sunny and drier weather is expected to come with cooler temperatures, with highs in the lower 40s and lows in the 30s in the lowland areas.
